The new debris
Most of us feel a powerful attraction to the aesthetics of the ruin, there are many artists who seek and work as a matter of expression and the resulting debris aesthetics of destruction, the pictures will always have public disaster and I do not mean just the obvious poverty and basic but complex morbidity and atavistic human mechanism to be attracted to the observation of the disaster. However there is a big difference between seeking the ruin as a piece of old looking, with patina of time to be in full detail in the presence of a ruin current one year, the ruin of a new department of newly purchased items , remnants of recent technology, not objects of the past but the recent past, as recently as entering a building collapsed under the same condition of those who still come to steal what little salvageable. The fear of bumping into a new replica is almost as disturbing as these beings meet the extreme periphery, some capable of "living" in abandoned apartments, while together, water meters, doors, windows, countertops, etc. I hope these images for reflections on many issues, not forgetting, loss, death, unscrupulous entrepreneurs, to connect something to be in the presence of the latency of pain and mysterious attraction.
Technical data: Location: Conception, Building High River, had 15 floors, totally destroyed (at the time of collapse 86 people, 8 people died). Senior Center Building, 18 floors constructed in 2006, collapsed and ordered for demolition. Tomas. February 18.19 and February 20, 2011. 21mb original RAW images
